Older children (aged 8 to 11) can explore how sounds are created with Dr Claire Pannell and build sound devices to take home, such as a harmoni-kazoo or balloon horn.
After a demonstration of how sounds are created the children will be invited to explore and experiment with equipment to find out how sounds are made and how you can see and feel sound vibrations. Following this they will build some simple musical instruments to take home, such as a harmoni-kazoo, whistling straws and a balloon horn.
