Work: The Beach
Bio: Simon Kong is a uniquely seasoned voyager of electronic culture. From a multi-cultural, multi continental background he returned to New Zealand (his mothers homeland) in the early 90’s. Missing much of the common cultural links to local youth culture he not so much discovered Dj’ing as much as fell backwards into this bourgeoning 90’s subculture. With a moderate technical bent and misguided interest in sound systems he rapidly found his feet in the extended scene by being an ad-hoc technician & Dj.
